I study at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School. When it comes to my first time to introduce myself on the stage in the classroom, it was an amazing experience, I found myself couldn’t say any words on the stage. Before long, I started to close to my classmates and had some good friends. I’m really glad to have these classmates and teachers.
In this school, not only do I study but also do other activities, like ball contests. I think myself is good at playing volleyball and soccer. And my classmates are good at playing basketball. We have won the basketball game for three times in a roll! Our teachers also think that we shouldn’t be good at school work only. However, because I am a student, I still need to take school work at first. I read not only test books but also some English magazines, like Studio Classroom or Advanced. With teachers’ help and English magazines, my English ability is improved a lot since these two years.

I’m Jay. The name is from a famous singer that I have admired him since I was an elementary school student. There are five members in my family, including my father, my mother, my elder brother, my younger brother and me. My family is open-minded and they are also optimistic, it makes me be an optimistic person. My father is a worker. Although he always comes back home lately because of plenty of work, he still uses his rest time to listen to my school life or some trouble things at school. He always says, “Use your wisdom to earn money, not by labor.” As to my mother, she is a housewife but she starts to work recently. She always tells me whether I am in good mood or not. And she will ask me to let me release the pressure in my mind. Every time she cooks in the kitchen, I will take part in to learn how to cook. Due to it, I enjoy cooking with my mom. When it comes to my elder brother, he is an amusing guy that he always helps me get through the problems I meet every time. He also teaches me a lot of knowledge that I can’t learn from school, like computer or attitude to life. In the case of my younger brother, he is a junior high school student. He is energetic so he brings a lot of joy to my family. I am so lucky to have these members in my family.

About my school life:
In senior high, the school and the homeroom teacher are very open-minded; they encourage students to participate lots of activities joyously. They are all enthusiastic to help students in needs and try to tell us how important other school activities are. Just like they say, we students all enjoy playing volleyball at school. Almost students in our school play volleyball and enjoy it. Besides, our school holds many contests about many ball every year. Each of them is a good experience and a good way to improve friendship between my classmates and I. As to school work, our English teachers always give the best learning way to improve our English, without they, my English won't improve so much in two years. With these classmates and teachers, I'm excited to go to school every day! I hope that I can get along with them well and have more joyful days for the rest of my high school life.

My name is Fang. I am now 17 years old. I have an English name called Matthew. I am studying in a private high school. There are five people in my family. My father is a military officer and my mother is a housewife. Both of my younger brother and sister are studying in junior high school. You might think that my family is a traditional and stern family because of my father; on the contrary, it is the opposite. My father is open-minded and a person of sense of humor. I must say that I am lucky to have such a happy family.
My father certainly has great influence on me, and I always look up to him. His passion and dedication to his job and family are the best things he gives us. He never forces us to do things we do not like. He gives us freedom of choice. That is why I can join so many school activities and have the chance to develop my hobbies.
I have been very active in school activities. I am one of the so-called computer freaks who just cannot keep their eyes off the computer screen. My friends know I am good in computer. As long as their computers have troubles, they would turn to me. I am also a pitcher on the school baseball team. Our team has won many, many matches; thus, we gained an honorable title of “unbeatable team.” I believe this resulted from our constant practice, hard work and our strong team spirit.
Although using computer and playing baseball take up most of my leisure time, I manage to spare some spare time to play the electronic guitar in a band. I use computer to make many of our songs into MIDI files and forward to many of my friends. My friends love them and think they are awesome. Being able to combine my knowledge of computer and music is my proudest thing. Don't get me wrong. I didn't neglect my study. Unless my grades in school are OK, my parents will not let me go for all these.
I have been interested in computer since I was in the fifth grade. That was the time when father had his big computer on his desk. Every time I saw father's face with great concentration while using computer, I developed my admiration to it. I said to myself, “I want to be like him one day.”
I liked to play around with my father's computer. One day I accidentally deleted one of my father's important files. I was so scared that my father would be furious with me. However, it was not the case. My father gave me a gift instead of punishment. I was so surprised. Guess what? Yes, I got a new computer. Ever since then, I have been addicted to computers, especially after the emerging of the Internet. Surfing the net has been one of my greatest hobbies.
The e-commerce has changed our traditional lifestyle. Take myself as an example, I keep in touch with my friends through e-mail messages, I send my greetings through e-cards, I buy books from e-bookstores, I shop from many websites and I search information from the searching engine.
Beyond doubt, the importance of the e-era has brought most powerful revolution to the business world. Banks and stock market transaction through the net, business to business direct transaction through the net and the space and time limitation no longer exist. I am fascinated with the new change and eager to take part in it. So I have decided to study in Computer and Information Science. I want to be a professional computer programmer who creates and designs the software to meet the needs of people in e-era.

I am Lin. Sophia is my English name. I am 18 years old, studying in a public high school. I come from a very happy middle-class family. My father works in a bank and my mother works in a bookstore. I am the only child in the family; however, I am not the so-called spoiled child. My parents have trained me to be independent since I was a child.
Throughout my academic years, I not only get good grades but also am very active on sport field and involved in school club activities. I play volleyball and enjoy the team spirit we have. I have joined the drama club and participated in many English speech contests. I really enjoy participating in school activities; I not only make many friends and have lots of fun but also gain many different valuable experiences.
I had been the class English assistant for almost three years. I liked to discuss and share the experience of learning English with people a lot. We often read China Post and Time Magazine then discussed their contents, the word usages and practice speaking English by discussing the articles we read. In the beginning, we found it hard because we could rarely understand the content, but we encouraged each other not to give up. Gradually, we had made improvement. We were so excited. Then the group discussion of English books and magazines became one of the most enjoyable thing for us to do every week. I won the first prize in the school English speech contest in my second year of high school and many of my English articles had been put on Students Post.
My fondness for English has been developed since my childhood. It is lonely to be the only child. I had no one to play with when I was a kid. My mother knew about this so she brought me with her all the time. Hence, bookstores became my childhood playground and books have been my playmates. Mother would show me those fancy books with cute illustrations
on them. Firstly drawn by the pictures, I was curious about these strange symbols called “words.” This was my first contact with English. As I was interested in knowing what those symbol mean, my parents taught me a bit. As they felt that I was eager to learn, they got me an English tutor. Thanks to my parents, I have advantages in learning English by starting at a really early age.
My interest in English brought me to the world of English literature. I have been enchanted by this creative world, so I decide to major in English literature. My aim is to explore the world of literature and the world of great writers, opening my eyes and cultivating my mind through this great world of literature.
Besides English literature, I also have a wide range of hobbies. I love reading, writing, music and movies. I have my active side as well. I enjoy swimming, hiking, traveling and getting close to Nature a lot. I believe we must achieve a sense of balance in our lives. As to my personality, I am creative, optimistic, determined, willing to help others and down to earth.
I want to be one of the literature students who has the privilege of studying great writers’ works and exploring their inner worlds, their outlook of lives, their roles as learned scholars and their influences on the world. Best of the semester (1)

There are two apartments. One s called Fairfax Apartments,and the other is called CAMPS APTS. Both of them are near campus,and it is really helpful to my friend and me. However, there are still some differences of them. The former has two bedrooms so that I can have my own room. In contrast, the later has only one bedroom,and it is a bit of crowded for me. Besides, Fairfax Apartments is furnished so that I don’t have to worry about it;but the other isn’t. Nevertheless, the price of the former is much more expensive than the later is. After thinking twice, both of my friend and I decide to choose the Fairfax Apartments.

Expressing an opinion 1

I oppose meeting people through online dating sites. First of all, you can’t tell who you are talking to for sure. Many of people online use different photos for their chatting rooms. Second, it is dangerous for everyone to go out with some people that you have never seen before. For many examples, many of people who go out with online pals would get hurt or feel disappointed after meeting them. Third, your personal information may be used illegally by other person online. They may do some harmful things for you. Due to these reasons, I don’t suppose people to make friends online.

Two sports I enjoy.

I enjoy two exercises. One is playing volleyball, the other is playing soccer. Both of them are good for my health. Needless to say, they can strength our body and deep illness away. But the following will tell you the difference of the two sports. First of all, the former needs less popularity than the later does. It really confuses many people who like to play soccer to find enough people to have a game. Second, playing volleyball doesn’t cause lots of injures, but the other does! Third, every sport need field, certainly do the two sports. The former needs smaller field than the later does.
Though there are some inconveniences of playing soccer, the two sports are still my favorite exercises.

There are two driver’s licenses. The following tips will tell you the feature of them.
The person on the right license is called Stephanie Brooks, the other is called Ann Friedman. First, both of their eye color is brown. The former’s hair is the same color as the later. The former is 53 kilograms. Similarly, the later is 53 kilograms. The date the former born was as same as the later. The only difference is their appearance. The former wears black shirt and the later wear white shirt. If nobody said they are different people, most of us would think they are same people.

I like rainy days

I like rainy days. The following things will tell you why I like it and some benefits only when it is rainy day. First of all, the temperature will fall down if it rains. That will be a wonderful thing if the season is summer. Next,we students have to wear shoes to school every day. If the day we go to school is rainy day, we needn't to wear qualified shoes to school even if we wear slippers. Another reason is that I can think many things which I wouldn't care about as usual. The most important thing is that I can walk beside females and put up only an umbrella together. If there were no rainy days, how terrible it would be!

Describing a person.

Once, my parents took me to a theme park with my younger brother. When we got down from our car, a crowd of people passed by us studdenly. Strangly, my brother was gone! My father and I continued to find him for the rest of the day, but we didn't find out eventually.
The followings are about my younger brother'appearance:We are Asian. He is an elementary school student about twelve years old. He isn't very tall but a little heavy. The clothes he wore that day was a white T-shirt with a rabbit pattern and a black pants. His hair is brown. And his eyes are chubby and big. His skin is kind of black. But he couldn't speak English very well. He is my only brother. Please, if you find a person who may be my brother, call me in no time. I will be grateful for you from the bottom of my heart!

The most unforgettable trip I've ever had

Once, I went to Yilan with my family to have hot spring. On the way to Yilan, my family members were all excited and couldn't wait to get there. Suddenly, I found that more and more cars gathered together besides the cars of us. The speed were slower and slower,and we got in a traffic jam!
We waited for a while, the traffic jam was still stuck. And we got upset little by little. Eventually, I had no choice but to sleep simply. Not knowing as time went on, I woke up in a bad mood. As soon as I woke up, I wanted to sleep again. Because we were still in the Traffic Jam! After waiting for 5 hours, we got out from the horrible traffic jam with tired. In that trip, we were all unhappy cause of the traffic jam. It was the most unforgettable trip I've ever had.

“Wow!” the audience shouted.  The man won the first prize in the grand race, feeling proud and joyful.  After the race, he lived high-stepping life.  He bought goods without coming up with whether it would be used or not.  Soon, he experienced the life that he had never thought before.  Once, he went out as usual, not wearing the safety helmet, enjoying the delight of blowing.  Unusually, the road that he got through was constructed.  Unfortunately, he had to cut down his leg after the accident.  To many people’s surprise, he got down to recuperate instead of giving up his life.  After working hard at strengthening physical power, he took part in a game which many normal people attended.  Though he was a man without one leg, he still won the game.  Because of his effort and a little of  fortune, he wasn’t a man who did nothing all day long any longer.
